Campeggio del Sole

Camping del Sole is in Iseo, the pretty little town that gives its name to the lake, dubbed the Sebino by the ancient Romans. This region of Italy offers the chance for excursions in areas that differ greatly. The lake itself lies at the lower end of Valle Camonica, in a magnificent mountain setting. To the south are the hills and the Po Plain, with numerous examples of magnificent architecture and delightful landscape, right on the border separating the provinces of Brescia and Bergamo. Lake Iseo boasts Europe’s largest island in a lake, the famous Montisola. Easily reachable by ferry, this enchanting spot offers delightful views and delicious local produce. A couple of miles away is Franciacorta, famed throughout Europe for its landscape and excellent food and wines. A guided visit to one of the local wineries is a must. From the lake it is only a stone’s throw to the mountains, where there are plenty of opportunities for hikes and excursions. There is an enormous variety of places of outstanding beauty and architectural delights very close to the campsite – or you could of course merely enjoy the Sebino’s romantic atmosphere.
