THE CAMPING PARK RIVA dei GRECI is built on the site of the ruins of Metaponto’s ancient port, where the first Greek settlers landed in the VII century A.C. Metaponto’s verdant pine grove, the pride and joy of the Ionic Coast, extends endlessly between a clear blue sea and the ruins and majestic buildings of the ancient Greek civilization. RIVA dei GRECI Camping Park is immersed in this paradise, and together with the modern garden-city of Metaponto, makes this place one of Europe’s most picturesque spots. The village covers an area of 30,000 sq. metres on which have been located 32 prefabricated bungalows and 140 sites for tents and private caravans. The perfect organization, confirmed also by the winning of one of the most important awards for our category: Il Mercurio d’Oro (The Golden Mercury), offers the guests the possibility to spend holidays close to nature without having to do without the comforts of modern life; making a brand new bar, a self-service/pizzeria (evenings), a well stocked market, and a wonderful amphitheatre for shows and entertainment available in the huge shopping and reception mall. The marvellous Ionian Sea, a mere 500 metres away, can also be reached with our typical shuttle bus service. Seaside comfort will be provided by our beach service making beach umbrellas, deckchairs and sun beds available. The Riva dei Greci Camping Park’s 140 large and completely shaded sites, separated by trees, are certainly the ideal location to spend holidays characterized by nature and relaxation. The village’s three ablution blocks are always spotless and in good working order, guaranteeing hygiene and health.
